Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs and procedures for fresh produce to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the QA team, providing training and support to ensure adherence to quality protocols and continuous improvement.
- Inspections and Testing: Conduct regular inspections of incoming raw materials and finished products, as well as coordinate testing for quality attributes such as freshness, taste, and appearance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Prepare reports for management on quality trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, production, and distribution teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the supply chain.
- Compliance Management: Stay updated on relevant food safety regulations and industry best practices. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Customer Interaction: Address customer inquiries and complaints related to product quality, working to resolve issues effectively and maintain strong customer relationships.
